hungry hippo weighing in at 7 lbs!
After a huge Spaghetti dinner a la meat ball de la Cucina Donna, Cora is now up to 7 pounds! Yay!

6 lbs. 3 oz!
In just 5 days Cora's weight has gone from 5 pounds 9 ounces to 6 pounds 3 ounces!!

Thursday night
Strangely enough, we slept fairly well last night. Cora was up every two hours like clock-work but we took advantage of the time with some hard, deep sleep. Then when the two hours were up, she'd let us know she was hungry by slurping on her fingers and emitting little kitten noises. I think she needs those hands by her face to make sure the world doesn't spin out of control :)
I'm trying to devise a light shade mobile for her ceiling light that will be made of a large flower with hummingbirds and butterflies. We'll see how it goes, I got all the parts and pieces I'll need to construct it today at the hardware store. While I was out, I picked up a Christmas tree finally, as well as a big box of organic veggies and fruits from this produce delivery we signed up for. Melinda made an amazing meal of sauteed kale and onion, beet leaves and stems, rice mochi, and these incredible bright red mashed beet carrot potatoes.
We just finished decorating the tree and it is beautiful and sparkling, my daughter is sleeping soundly and I feel like the luckiest man in the world....

Cousin Abram
Check out Charged Current- (follow link at right) and see cousin Abram saying hello to Cora- I think Abram is looking like a young movie star, a Marlon Brando perhaps. With Katy's beautiful eyes and Todd's mouth and nose, he's a strikingly handsome little guy.

Wednesday afternoon-
Today has been amazing...Hard to describe all the love I have for this little person.
Last night around 2:30 am we fed Cora and put her on her tummy on the changing table. She immediatly began pumping her legs as if to move forward! Of course with her arms pinned underneath her that was impossible :) Then she picked up her head and turned it to the other side before setting it down again. The evidence of her being a superhero is quite overwhelmng, but further studies are needed. More later,
